Ticketed taste tests are go at Épernay Manchester

What better place, then, to put different fizzes to the taste test? For the first of Épernay Manchester’s sell-out monthly tasting “symposiums”, new for 2017, we joined in as champers was pitted against Prosecco.
Épernay expert Marc was a fantastic guide, explaining the versatility of both beverages, and helping us learn more about their variety, age, colour and flavour. And what’s a taste test without samples? Rather generous servings of six types of bubbly came our way, and by the end of the evening we were indeed enlightened, if not a little fuzzy-headed.
Épernay’s tasting symposiums offer a fantastic educational experience and an enjoyable opportunity to learn more about different drinks, and are ideal for both the novice and the connoisseur. These ticketed events are also a great chance for a get-together with friends old and new.
And the team of multi-award-winning bar tenders at Épernay aren’t just experts on fizz – upcoming symposiums include one on old versus new wines and another on whisky.
