FAMILY-FRIENDLY festival BBC Summer Socialis back for 2019, even bigger and better than last year and with an all-star line-up. Already announced are live performances from Max and Harvey, award-winning pop-punk trio Busted, Scottish musicianNina Nesbitt, Lost Without Yousinger Freya Ridings and Rudimental collaborator John Newman. Highlights also include Jo Whiley broadcasting live from the park on Radio 2, with further artists still to be revealed.

Following an inaugural event last summer, which welcome dover 30,000 visitors across two days, BBC Summer Social returns to Liverpool’s Croxteth Country Park onSaturday 3 and Sunday 4 August. What’s more, wehave a family bundle of four tickets – worth £100 – up for grabsfor Saturday, when the programme is perfect for older kids and big kids alike.

BBC Summer Social will also involve a whole heap of Doctor Who fun, performances and Q&As from some ofCBBC’s biggest shows, a supersized Bedtime Stories tent, a spectacular range of outdoor activities in the BBC Sport field and pop-up Blue Peter Garden, andan entire field of inflatable fun– including the world’s biggest bouncy castle.All around Croxteth Country Park–with its Petting Farm, Victorian Walled Garden and the Grade ll listed Croxteth Hall – visitors will be able todiscover immersive activity zones, theatre shows, interactive and inspiring workshops, junior discos, gaming areas, character walkabouts,and live appearances from popular children’s authors.
