The best pizza you’ve ever eaten – for free!

WIN dinner for two with a bottle of wine at the Opening Night of this summer’s must-go pop-up, Pizza Rivoluzione at Blanchflower. Launching on Friday 10 May and running until Saturday 21 September, Pizza Rivoluzione will be transforming our favourite Altrincham brunch destination every Friday and Saturday evening, rustling up two gorgeous styles of pizza rarely spotted outside Italy.

We have three courses up for grabs in our competition… pre-dinner choices include mozzarella-filled truffled wild mushroom arancini with rocket and basil pesto, desserts are classic Italian with a twist

Pizza Rivoluzione’s revolutionary concept nudges out those ubiquitous wood-fired, floppy-based, Neapolitan-style pizzas and aims to introduce your tastebuds to Focaccia Pizza and Pizza Romana – promising to be ‘the best pizzas you’ve ever eaten’.

The Focaccia Pizza is big around Genoa in Northern Italy, in Sicily’s capital city Palermo and in Rome, where big trays of the stuff are cut into slices and sold by weight. Pizza Rivoluzione are topping their fluffy but crisp focaccia bases with some classic flavour combos, from the Caprese’s mozzarella, tomatoes and basil to beetroot with goat’s cheese, hazelnut and watercress.

The ultra-thin 100% organic sourdough Pizza Romana base packs a big punch of flavour and is layered with high-quality toppings like burrata cheese, Parma ham, salted beetroot and griddled peach; king prawn, charred courgette, mascarpone and red chilli; chorizo, manchego and jalapeno sriracha; heritage tomatoes, smoked mozzarella and basil, and spinach, mascarpone, Parmesan and egg.

We have three courses up for grabs in our competition, so what mightyou discover? Pre-dinner choices include a cured salmon with sourdough crumb dish, mozzarella-filled truffled wild mushroom arancini with rocket and basil pesto, hot smoked chicken and watercress, raspberries and balsamic reduction, and asparagus topped with a cured egg yolk and crispy capers. Desserts are classic Italian with a twist: tiramisu or Manchester tart panna cotta, for example, or affogato made with house ice cream, espresso and biscotti.
