Live music line-up announced – and it's free

CASTLEFIELD Food Festival is fast approaching on 11-14 May. And as well as the markets, street food, Famous Five-inspired cook-offs, celebrity chef demos, and gin cruises, there's a brilliant line-up of live music.

What's more, it's free to attend and family-friendly. Here's some of the musical highlights for each day.

Lucas Bernard (Thursday)

This singer-songwriter has travelled from France to Manchester via timeless and global blues and folk.

Toria Woof (Friday)

Young singer-songwriter from Bolton with a finger-picking style and a folk influence. Toria plays originals and her own arrangements.

Travellin’ Strings (Friday)

Acoustic guitar cover group playing sing-along songs from the '50s, '60s and '70s.

Lucas Bernard

Blank Cheque (Friday)

Energetic reggae and ska band from Manchester, fronted by twins Tom and Josh Phillips.

Robin Mukherjee (Saturday)

This Manchester-based singer-songwriter has performed across the UK and internationally. Expect original songs mixed with old folk, guitar instrumentals and the odd bit of satire.

The Case (Saturday)

Well-established rock and indie covers band with a loyal fanbase and a reputation for playing good songs really well.

Izzi Walsh (Sunday)

Americana folk band from Manchester. Izzi's voice has been described as "Like honey wrapped in barbed wire. So good. 

Ruff Trade (Sunday)

Top-rated, eight-piece roots reggae band from Gorton with a reputation for infectious shows that get everyone on their feet.
