New autumn-winter menu boasts all manner of goodness - including a different brûlée each day

THERE aren’t many restaurants that feature crème brûlées as one of their daily specials, but The Boundary likes to do things a bit differently. Quirky art lines the walls and events include everything from vintage socials to Spanish nights and local musicians.

Casual and unpretentious, The Boundary has become one of Heaton Mersey’s favourite hangouts

The new menu is similarly diverse. Reflecting The Boundary’s passion for fresh local produce, it makes the arrival of chillier seasons with a hearty new evening selection (available from 5pm) featuring the likes of cassoulet, Spanish-style pork belly and lamb rack with crushed garlic potatoes and chargrilled vegetables.

Vegetarians and vegans are also well catered for, with warming dishes like aubergine madras and cauliflower rice, and there’s also a range of sides, small plates and desserts - including that unusual crème brûlée daily special. We tried passion fruit and it was pretty damn lovely…

And, since the emphasis here is all-day dining, afternoon options (12-5pm) are plentiful too. Alongside soup and sandwich of the day, you’ll find fresh salads, signature flatbreads and Boundary burgers. Or, if you just fancy something sweet, why not grab a cake and coffee for £4.50?
