The band of Salford brothers are now pouring on home turf

After making us wait a little longer than expected, the new Seven Bro7hers beerhouse opens this Wednesday, 18th December in ‘the heart of the city’s new, vibrant waterside community’ Middlewood Locks, Salford.

This is the second Beerhouse for the lovable Salford seven - and the first in their home city. Following the launch of their celebrated Salford brewery in 2014, the gang’s Ancoats boozer opened in 2016 and is always buzzing and packed with happy beer guzzlers.

The brewery is famous for its inventive beers including a series of beers made using Kelloggs breakfast cereals

Ancoats has been the success story of the past few years as the regenerating residential area has become home to some of Manchester’s most exciting and progressive food and drink establishments: Mana, Canto, Elnecot, The Jane Eyre, Erst and the recently opened Edinburgh Castle to name a few.

It looks like Middlewood Locks is hoping to follow suit. The development currently houses around 500 residents and this is set to grow to at least five times that. The PR blurb describes it as, 'The most vibrant new neighbourhood where the two great cities of Salford and Manchester meet.'

The addition of the new Seven Bro7hers Beerhouse is a step towards building a characterful, community-driven modern neighbourhood. It’s a great choice as a central social hub for a youthful, fun-loving body of residents looking for decent craft beer and maybe a bite to eat. There will also be a calendar of events people can get involved with.

The brewery is famous for its inventive beers including a series of beers made using Kelloggs breakfast cereals that would otherwise have gone to waste. They have also recently launched a marshmallow stout, a blood orange IPA and a 'Good Day IPA' in support of The Tim Bacon Foundation which raises money for people living with cancer.

“The beerhouse belongs to the community,” says brother Keith McAvoy. “Without the community, we’re nothing. We all grew up together in a big loving family, and that’s the vibe we aim for in our beerhouses - somewhere people really like to be, somewhere they feel at home.”

“We are delighted to welcome Seven Bro7hers to our Award Winning neighbourhood Middlewood Locks,” says Nicola Wallis, Sales and Marketing Director Middlewood Locks. “Our aspiration is to create a really vibrant community filled with fantastic amenities for everyone to enjoy. Seven Bro7hers is a much loved institution and we know they will be a great addition to our growing neighbourhood.”

Overlooking the canal and with views across Manchester, the beerhouse is one of the first commercial enterprises in the area joining a Co-op supermarket. Another new residential addition to the neighbourhood is Get Living’s New Maker Yards, a build-to-rent development offering 275 homes for rent which launched this summer.

Kim Quickfall, General Manager at New Maker Yards, said: “Seven Bro7hers have been the talk of the neighbourhood – we worked with the team earlier in the year on our pop-up summer events and residents have been buzzing for the beerhouse to open its doors.

“Their ethos aligns perfectly with Get Living; bringing people together and creating experiences.”

The ambitious siblings aren’t stopping there though. Plans are afoot for yet more expansion going into 2020. Eyes peeled for news of beer houses in both Liverpool and Leeds next year. They'll have a lucky seven before we know it.
