San Carlo to launch UK's first drone-delivered food service

Manchester restaurant group San Carlo have today announced the launch of the UK's first drone-delivered food service.

Speaking to Confidential, San Carlo Managing Director Marcello Distefano said: "We've been looking at various delivery options for awhile now, and given the current issues with congestion in Manchester, we found that the most efficient option would be to deliver our food via drone.

"We always strive for quality at San Carlo, so it's important to us that our food not only be delivered quickly, but also that it not be knocked about on the road and turn up looking like rhino excrement."
