If you’re looking for an oasis of calm in the city centre, look no further than Alvarium, which we’ve been carefully nurturing in the Northern Quarter this spring.

Grown from the seed of an idea to provide a little piece of Paradise in the middle of Manchester, our new garden-inspired café / bar has a ‘green wall’, lots of pots of flowers, bee murals and honeycomb shelves — Alvarium is Latin for ‘hive’.

We’re a hive of activity every day from noon, serving coffee, cake, cocktails and more.

Happy Hour takes over until 9pm. Cocktails are 2 for £10, wine is £9 and prosecco is £14

We serve a range of drinks, some with syrups we make ourselves and several using local honey, plus plenty of vegan-friendly cocktails and gallons of vegan wine. We’re launching fresh and healthy light bites, and we’re even going to instal a greenhouse to grow our own herbs.
