Fancy a six course chippy tea?

Six by Nico, which is about to open at 60 Spring Gardens, is promising a chippy tea like you’ve never experienced before. The humble fish and chips will take centre stage on a six-course menu inspired by the traditional British takeaway. The launch menu is to be full of re-imagined classics such as chips and cheese, scampi, and a deep fried Mars Bar.

The restaurant is the idea of Scottish-Italian chef Nico Simeone, who is known for his concept menus which completely change every six weeks. Each new tasting menu will be based around a different place, idea, or memory.

Simeone said: “Most people are familiar with the tastes and scents of their local chip shop and we wanted to take the idea of the everyday chippy menu and re-invent it to create a playful food experience.”

Six by Nico Manchester will open to the public at the end of July. Read more here.
