It's got your health kick covered (and not just in January)
WHILE some restaurants create special 'healthy eating' dishes for January, others offer them without any big hoo-ha all year round.
Scene Indian Street Kitchen in Spinningfields is one of them. Their Indian food is naturally nourishing, with a focus on cooking from scratch, fresh ingredients, and wholesome grains. And there are sections of their a la carte menu that could come straight out of Deliciously Ella: vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free curries; high-protein and low carb dishes; and alcohol-free drinks that aren't just Pepsi and lemonade.
Here's our pick of their January-friendly food – check out their full menu for all your options.

Vegan, vegetarian and GF options
There's plenty to choose from here but we're going for the Punjabi choley with turmeric. It's chickpeas cooked in Scene's special sauce, with warming chillies and an extra helping of super-spice turmeric, known for its anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory properties (£7.95).
High protein, low carb
Scene's 'superfood' menu lets you choose a protein, a superfood salad, and a side to create a meal that nourishes, nurtures and fuels your body. We're going for the grilled chicken with a salad of kale, beetroot and spiced orange, and a side dish of lime-infused quinoa with cranberries and pomegranate (£16.95).
Doing Dry January? Scene's alcohol-free options include mocktails, milkshakes and lassis. We're ordering the Elderflower Power mocktail, made with fruit tea, elderflower cordial, cranberry and orange juices with honey and pomegranate syrup (£4.95).
