Party Nights steal a speakeasy style this festive season

FESTIVITIES at the five-star Lowry Hotel are underway with the announcement of a glittering 1920s theme for its Christmas celebrations this year.

The Lowry Hotel wants guests to celebrate the festive season in “speakeasy” style and channel their inner Daisy Buchanan or Jay Gatsby as the River Restaurant provides a menu of festive treats.

Taking the stress away from planning a work Christmas party, guests can Charleston over to the Lowry Hotel for a Party Night of festive fun, cocktails, and entertainment.

To get you in the mood, the Lowry Hotel is offering two chances to win tables for ten with speakeasy-themed competitions launched on social media.

For a chance to win a festive lunch, dinner or seasonal afternoon tea for ten, head over to Twitter or Facebook and use #LowryXmasParty to tag who you’d like to bring to a Lowry Christmas event and what your party’s gangster names would be.

The second competition, also using #LowryXmasParty, requires you to post to Facebook or Twitter a picture of yourself in your gangster get-up. You could win a table of ten at one of the Lowry’s speakeasy-themed Party Nights.

Taking the stress away from planning a work Christmas party, guests can Charleston over to the Lowry Hotel for a Party Night of festive fun, cocktails, and entertainment. The dates are: Thursday 30 November, Friday December, Saturday 2 December, Saturday 9 December, Thursday 14 December, Friday 15 December, Saturday 16 December, Thursday 21 December and Friday 22 December.

Party Nights include a three-course meal plus a wine reception, giving attendees the opportunity to eat drink and be merry with dancing until 1am.

For a more exclusive Christmas party the Lowry Hotel private dining room, which holds up to 22 guests, will be available for a seasonal three-course meal, plus canapés and pre-dinner drinks available in the Library.

In addition to Party Nights, the River Bar and double AA rosette River Restaurant will be launching a Christmas menu, set to keep visitors warm on those cold winter nights with festive cocktails and locally sourced yuletide dishes, such as a traditional Christmas lunch.

The Lowry Hotel’s famous afternoon tea also offers a welcome break from Christmas shopping, with a sparkling champagne option available.

For guests joining the hotel over the Christmas weekend, a Christmas Eve buffet supper will be available at the River Restaurant, while on the big day itself, the River Restaurant will be welcoming guests to a four-course meal in decorative surroundings with dining options for the whole family. If guests still have room for another feast, a seasonal special Sunday lunch will be available on Boxing Day afternoon.

The festive season is finally wrapped up on New Year’s Eve, with a night of 1920s glamour. Bring in the New Year with a Gala Night in the River Restaurant or enjoy cocktails and light bites in the River Bar. Wherever you choose to be, the Lowry Hotel will ensure partygoers have a glass of Champagne in hand when the clock strikes midnight.
