CAMPO Viejo is born from a desire to create a wine for sharing. From humble origins in 1964 in Rioja, three entrepreneurs were united by a passion to create a wine that would bring families and friends together around a table to share food, wine and laughter.

In an era when the people of Spain only drank wine from their local region, the founders of Campo Viejo had the bold vision to share their creation not only with the people of the next village, but also with the inhabitants of towns and villages throughout Spain, and ultimately the world.

Living generously

While modern life is increasingly full of work and meetings, at Campo Viejo they stay true to their origins and still take time to break bread together. Being generous with each other and taking time to share experiences is deeply ingrained in their culture. This is reflected in their winemaking, which blends traditional heritage with bold innovations that appeal to modern palates.

To make the most of Rioja’s signature grape, they grow and harvest Tempranillo under three subtly different climates. When expertly combined, these grapes collaborate to create the authentic taste of Rioja. A taste that is made for sharing.

They have committed to the strictest of quality standards in order to preserve these lands for future generations to enjoy. From the vine to the bottle, they adhere to sustainable winemaking practices designed to last.

Sharing is pairing

Tempranillo

Their bold and fresh 100% Tempranillo showcases the vibrancy of rioja and is one of their most versatile wines. As such, it’s the perfect companion to tapas. Prepare some tortilla, jamon, and tomato salad and pass the bottle around the table.

Garnacha

This innovative and expressive 100% Garnacha perfectly embodies Campo Viejo’s commitment to pushing the boundaries. Enjoy this distinctive, fruity wine with a generous serving of lasagne or even a steaming serving of spiced apple crumble.

Reserva

This complex and robust wine can hold its own against the reddest of meats or bluest of cheeses. There’s no need to combine the Reserva with spicy dishes – this wine provides plenty of warming all on its own.

Gran Reserva

For those cooler British evening, the smokiness and warmth of the elegant Gran Reserva proves a perfect match for roasts and casseroles. Alternatively, enjoy a glass at the end of the meal for a fine companion for dark chocolate and coffee desserts.

Campo Viejo Blanco

For a fresh twist on traditional Tempranillo, their Campo Viejo Blanco is perfect with appetisers like fried fish and seafood or just when savouring a hot afternoon in good company.
