The Green Quarter-based microbrewery hopes to open the new venue around August
Manchester brewers Beatnikz have revealed plans to open a new bar in Northern Quarter.
The Green Quarter-based vegan microbrewery - voted best newcomer by RateBeer in 2017 - said on its blog that it had secured a 1,500 sq ft spot in Dale House, within 'a beautiful listed building' alongside recently relaunched coffeehouse Idle Hands.
Brewer/owner Paul Greetham said 'licence and permissions permitting' he hoped to open the 120 capacity bar around August to September.
The bar will offer fourteen keg and four cask lines, up to 50% of which will be devoted to Beatnikz brews - such as Beach Bum Pale Ale and Generation IPA - with the rest given over to guests beers.
Greetham said the bar will also stock a 'wide selection of spirits - especially gin and bourbon - wines, natural wines, sparkling wines, ciders and cocktails'.
The blog post says the brewery has an 'excellent design team' working hard to create a 'beautiful, welcoming, inclusive and genuinely unique space'.
News of the Beatnikz bar first emerged early in 2017, however, Greetham says plans for a unit between Market Street and St Peter's Square had to be shelved due to time concerns.
Planned opening hours will be 4pm-11pm Monday to Thursday; 12pm-12am Friday and Saturday; 12pm-11pm Sunday.
