The food, the frolics and the faces at last weekend's big event
IT was all happening in Bolton this weekend, with the return of their ever-expanding Food and Drink Festival. The streets were packed with markets, cooking demos, performers, picnics, pop-up bars, music and events. And the visitor numbers look set to soar above last year's event.
Famous faces starring at the festival included TV chef James Martin and Bake Off 2015 winner Nadiya Hussain.
Said Nadiya, “There’s something about festivals that I love. You think that you’ve seen enough cheese and jam and then you come somewhere (like Bolton) and realise that they’ve done it better.”
