The Spanish fashion retailer is set to close its Manchester city centre branch on Sunday 29 April
Mango, a long-standing high-street retailer, is soon to close its Manchester city centre store.
Situated close to the Manchester Arndale entrance, the shutters will come down on Mango's Market Street branch on Sunday 29 April.
For fans of its modern sophisticated clothing, Mango’s pending closure will come as unfortunate news.
Noted as a great (while underrated) alternative to Zara, Mango had seemed to be in throes of a renaissance.
The company, founded in Barcelona in 1984, recently announced expansions in the Middle East and America, as well as an expanded store in London's Westfield Stratford shopping centre.
Mango bosses say they are ‘currently in active discussion with several shopping centres in the city regarding potential new locations’, as they have ‘a great base of loyal customers in Manchester’.
Until then, Manchester customers will still be able shop Mango at its House of Fraser concession.
