IT’S been a pressing question on the lips of Manchester’s fashionistas for a number of years; can the city deliver a Manchester Fashion Week to be proud of?

Possessing a somewhat marred reputation, following the swift exit of Boohoo.com, last minute venues changes and alleged unpaid staff, the (sometimes) annual fashion show has been bandied about from organiser to organiser, eventually landing with journalist and Liverpool Fashion week creator Amanda Moss last year.

Regardless of its checkered history, Moss has high hopes for her second attempt at Manchester Fashion Week and has promised a ‘bigger and better’ show at Castlefield Rooms (23-25 May).

The three-day showcase kicks off with an evening of couture featuring independent fashion designers, some local and some from as far afield as Nigeria. See the full list of designers here.

TV Presenter Jenny Powell will be hosting proceedings, while we'll be live tweeting from the front row from 6pm.
